Graceland Polytechnic attains full accreditation for all programmes

Graceland Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State has achieved a significant milestone by receiving 100% verification and full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and other professional bodies for all its academic programmes. This recognition reinforces the institution’s commitment to providing quality education and equipping students with industry-relevant skills.

The accredited programmes include Science Laboratory Technology; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Accountancy; Business Administration; Library and Information Science; Mass Communication; and Urban and Regional Planning, among others. Following a rigorous assessment by the NBTE accreditation team on 24 January 2025, the institution successfully met the required academic and infrastructural standards, securing approval for the following programmes:

* ND Accountancy – Fully accredited
* ND Library and Information Science – Fully accredited
* ND Mass Communication – Fully accredited
* ND Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology – Verification exercise approved
* ND Science Laboratory Technology – Verification exercise approved
* Urban and Regional Planning – Verification exercise approved
* Building Technology – Verification exercise approved

On the achievement, the Rector, Dr. Lateef Olatunji expressed gratitude to the NBTE for its thorough assessment and recognition. He also commended its Executive Secretary, Prof. Idris Bugaje for his unwavering commitment to strengthening technical education in Nigeria.

Olatunji reiterated the institution’s mission to produce graduates equipped with the necessary skills for national and global development. He emphasised that the accreditation success reflects Graceland Polytechnic’s continuous efforts to improve educational quality, enhance infrastructure, and provide students with industry-relevant training.

The management of Graceland Polytechnic Offa appreciates the support of all stakeholders, governing board, staff, students, and the Kwara State government in achieving this milestone. With this accreditation, the institution is poised to contribute significantly to Nigeria’s educational, technological, and economic growth.
