Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly decided on his five-man captaincy group for the 2026/2027 season.
According to reports, Raphinha, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Eric Garcia and Frenkie de Jong have been selected as the club’s captains.
Raphinha is expected to wear the armband as the first-choice captain, while Pedri will serve as his deputy.
Flick’s decision followed a vote by members of the Barcelona squad to determine the club’s leadership group for the new campaign.
De Jong was already part of Barcelona’s previous captaincy group, while Garcia had also been tipped to take on a leadership role at the Camp Nou.
However, Yamal’s inclusion has attracted particular attention, given that the Spain international is still only 19.
The selection reflects Barcelona’s decision to combine experienced players with younger members of the squad as the club prepares for the 2026/2027 campaign.
