Heartland have been granted provisional approval to play their remaining home games of the season at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

This followed observed improvements on their pitch after a second inspection within the last two weeks.

However,  the approval does not extend to the next season as another comprehensive review of facilities at the stadium will be carried out in line with Facilities Criteria of the Club Licensing requirements.

The club will therefore host their Matchday 31 fixture against Shooting Stars at the stadium on Friday.

At the start of the second stanza of the season, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) revoked the earlier provisional approval granted the club. This followed observed deterioration of the pitch.

Heartland are second from the rear in this season’s NPFL having garnered on 26 points from 30 matches. With eight matches to end the season, the Naze Millionaires are nine points away from safety.
