Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has said regular sex plays a significant role in a woman’s youthful appearance, adding that she is “getting more than enough”.
The 48-year-old made the remark during an appearance on The Morayo Show, hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown, while responding to a question about the secret behind her youthful looks.
Ojo dismissed the notion that a woman’s happiness or appearance is determined by whether she is single or married, insisting that the quality of a relationship is what truly matters.
“We (single mothers) are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.
“I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough. Maybe those with marriage certificates aren’t getting enough,” she said.
The actress also spoke about her relationship with talent manager Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paul O, describing it as one founded on understanding, mutual support and respect.
“We’re two mature people and two very busy people, but the most important thing is to understand each other, to support each other and to be there for each other.
“We fight and we have our ups and downs. It’s normal, but the most important thing is that we respect each other. We respect our space and what we do, and we just move on with that,” she said.
Ojo, who publicly confirmed her relationship with Paul O in 2022, also reflected on her previous marriage to Ademidun Ojo.
According to the actress, she remained in the marriage longer than she should have because she took time before deciding to walk away.
She added that details of that period of her life would be explored in her forthcoming book and her next cinema project.
