IFMA Nigeria, Big 5 Construct to host sustainable facility management event

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Nigeria chapter will co-host an event on “Delivering Effective and Sustainable FM in the Built Environment” at Big 5 Construct Nigeria, Nigeria’s largest construction industry event. The event will be held on Thursday at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos.

Big 5 Construct Nigeria is Nigeria’s largest construction event bringing together local and international companies to showcase products and services, innovation, expertise and knowledge to the Nigerian construction industry.

The event will feature a panel of seasoned speakers from leading organisations in the facility management industry. They include: immediate Past President of IFMA Lagos, Nigeria, Mr. Segun Adebayo; Dean of Environmental Sciences at the University of Lagos, Prof. Modupe Omirin; Faculty Member at IFMA Nigeria, Engr. Silas Ofoegbu; and the first African Fellow of the International Facility Management Association, Stephen Ola Jagun.

The speakers will discuss the latest trends and technologies in sustainable facility management, as well as the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

In the past, IFMA Nigeria Lagos Chapter collaborated with various institutions in championing notable causes within the built environment. They included the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board, Lagos State Safety Commission, Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency, and the University of Lagos.
