IGP honours superintendent for rejecting $.2m bribe

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba has given a commendation award to Suprentendent of Police Daniel Amah for rejecting S200,000 bribe from armed robbery suspects.

Amah was showered with encomium by Baba, who was represented by a Deputy Commission of Police, Abubakar Zubair while handing over the award on Monday.

Amah was said to have led the arrest and prosecution of one Ali Zaki along with some police officers, in a case of armed robbery involving N320.5 million.

The police officer was said to have been offered about N100 million by the principal suspect in an attempt to cover up the crime, but he refused.

Delighted by his outstanding performance, the IGP honoured Amah for professional and excellent work ethics.
