JAMB reveals 2023 mock, UTME main exam dates, others

At least 92,490 candidates have been registered by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to sit for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Also, at least 67,328 candidates registered for the mock examination, according to a weekly bulletin published by the office of the JAMB Registrar in Abuja.

JAMB started its registration on Saturday, 14 January and it is expected to end on Tuesday, 14 February.

According to the reports, two e-pins are available for sale – the pin for the main examination and that for the mock examination.

JAMB bulletin reads: “As already effected in the UTME exercise, two e-pins are available, N5, 700 for without mock UTME; N6, 700 for with mock UTME, while the Direct Entry is N4,700.

“Approved UTME fee remains N3,500, reading text N500, the registration fee is N700, with N1,000 for Computer Based Test (CBT) examination fee and an optional N1,000 for mock examination for the candidates”.

The report also revealed that registration for polytechnic and Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) students hoping to apply for direct entry into the university will commence in earnest.

According to the examination body, the direct entry form will be on sale from Monday, 20 February, and would close on Monday, 20 March.

JAMB stated that registered candidates for the 2023 mock UTME examinations would commence on Thursday, 16 March, while the main exams will hold from Saturday, 29 April to Friday, 12 May.

A fresh update on the registration for the Direct Entry examinations and the UTME was also disclosed by JAMB.

The board announced that the registration will commence on Saturday, 12 February, and end Saturday, 19 March.

Fabian Benjamin, the director of Public Relations, made the disclosure via the board’s weekly bulletin.
