The Founder and President of the JDM Global Foundation, Lolo Jennifer Madubuko, has celebrated her 50th birthday, with associates and beneficiaries paying tribute to her contributions to humanitarian service, healthcare, education and community development in Nigeria and the United States.
Madubuko, a healthcare executive, registered nurse and entrepreneur, has led the JDM Global Foundation in implementing initiatives aimed at improving access to healthcare, education, clean water and economic opportunities for vulnerable communities.
The foundation’s interventions include free medical outreaches, scholarships for indigent students, payment of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) registration fees, youth empowerment programmes, community borehole projects, feeding initiatives and financial assistance for hospital bills.
Among its notable projects is the construction of a borehole for the Nkwoagu community in Ebonyi State, providing residents with access to clean drinking water. The project was commissioned in the presence of community leaders and church officials, who commended the initiative for improving the living conditions of residents.
Education remains a key focus of the foundation, which has awarded scholarships to students in Anambra State and provided financial support for candidates sitting the WASSCE.
In youth development, the organisation has supported beneficiaries through vocational training, entrepreneurship programmes, the provision of equipment and start-up capital aimed at promoting self-reliance.
The foundation has also invested in emergency healthcare awareness by organising Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training for secondary school students in Anambra State, equipping participants with basic lifesaving skills.
Speaking on her commitment to humanitarian service, Madubuko said compassion, rather than financial status, motivates her philanthropic work.
“Many people ask me why I do all this. My answer is always the same – it is not because I am rich. I do this because God has given me a heart that cannot ignore the suffering of His people. Compassion is greater than wealth. You do not have to be wealthy to make a difference. You only need a willing heart,” she said.
Beyond her philanthropic activities, Madubuko is the founder and chief executive of healthcare organisations in the United States, where she provides services for older adults, children with special needs, individuals with developmental disabilities and families requiring home healthcare.
She is also pursuing graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counselling, with a focus on expanding access to holistic healthcare services.
Associates and beneficiaries described Madubuko as a compassionate leader whose interventions have positively impacted thousands of lives through healthcare, education and community development initiatives.
