Lagos Digital PR Summit calls for registration; holds 27th Oct

The Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Monday announced that the 7th Lagos Digital Public Relations Summit, will hold Thursday 27th October.

The premier branch of the NIPR said the summit will hold at the L’eola Hotel, Maryland, Ikeja, Lagos. It has the theme: “Digital Communities: New Frontier Building Relationships”.

According to the organisers, this edition is poised to x-ray how dynamic difference and impacts technology, introduced into human connections and interactions in the digital age, has not disregarded the way and manner social relations and human cordiality existed before now. It promises to equip participants with skills to create a better content that builds trust and engages a multi-channel audience.

NIPR is encouraging public relations practitioners and digital communication enthusiasts to register for the summit. The standard fee is N150,000 per participant, but with a discount of N30,000 for payments received before close of business on Friday, 21st October.

Organisations sending more than three participants will also enjoy a 10 percent discount, the organisers said.

The summit, the organisers further said, adopts the FLIPPED Learning Approach where direct instruction moves from the group learning space to the individual learning space, ensuring a well-rounded model to knowledge acquisition and extension to drive positive changes in their organisations. Attendees will earn a Certificate of Participation and the honorary Lagos Digital PR Ambassadorship.

The summit is expected to bring together senior marketing communications professionals, Generation X and Millennials managing communications for government, corporate, media and NGOs to equip and expose them to contemporary techniques and glean new insights into the fast-growing digital media space for modern-day strategic communication practice.

The event owners said that this edition is being organised in partnership with multinational technology companies specialising in Internet-related, social media, global television broadcast stations and social networking services and products, including leading digital communications consultancies such as TVC Communications, TechCity and The Comms Avenue as well as leading marketing communication magazines.
