LASEMA curtails fire at Lagos logistics firm

Flux Logistics Company on Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos has gone up in flames.

As reported by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the facility is used by the company for storing Jameson alcoholic drinks.

LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu said: “The cause of the inferno could not be immediately ascertained but the combined effort to put out the inferno by LRU (LASEMA Response Unit) and Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has been successful.

He said the fire has been curtailed from spreading to adjoining factories under his supervision at the scene.

“No injury was recorded at the scene of incident but properties worth millions was damaged by the fire”, he further said.

Post disaster assessment is to be carried out, Oke-Osanyintolu added.
