Methodist Church Nigeria honours ex-CJN, AGF, seasoned editor

Prominent among those to be honoured are the Former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mr. Onnoghen; the Accountant General of the Federation, Dr. Oluwatoyin Madein; and a seasoned Public Relations consultant/Editor of Decency Global News, Sir ‘Tunde Babalola will be among personalities to be honoured at the 2023 Honorific Award service of the Methodist Church Nigeria in Abuja on Sunday.

Also to be honoured are a seasoned broadcaster with the NTA, Cyril Stober; a former Chairman of the FCT chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Sir Joseph Ohaeri Osondu; and a lecturer with the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Dr’ James Idaa.

The service, to be officiated by the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Oliver Ali Aba will attract several Bishops of the church, to be led by the Secretary of Conference, Rt. Rev. Babatunde  Taiwo; and Abuja Methodist Metropolitan Archbishop, Most Rev. Michael Akinwale.

The service at the newly refurbished ultra modern Cathedral of Unity, Wuse, Abuja will see distinguished members of the church drawn from the Dioceses of Methodist Church in Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Nyanya, Kubwa, and Abuja honoured as Knights of John Wesley, Knights of Charles Wesley, Officer of the Order of Wesley and Member of the Order of Wesley.

The award service will be preceded with a seminar titled, Discover to Recover, anchored by the church’s Evangelism and Outreach Directorate.

The Methodist Church Nigeria often organises the award service to appreciate members for their commitment in uplifting the vision and mission of the church, which was established in 1842.
