The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and Dangote Group are among organisations supporting the 10th annual conference of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP).
The conference is scheduled for Thursday, 8 October 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
GOCOP Publicity Secretary, Kemi Yesufu, announced the list of partners in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.
Other public-sector organisations supporting the event include the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Bank of Industry (BoI), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Private-sector partners listed by the guild include TAJBank, Emadeb Energy, Setraco Limited, Sovereign Trust Insurance and Nestlé Nigeria Plc.
The conference will focus on the theme, “2027 Elections: Trust, Transparency and Shared Responsibilities.”
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Joash Ojo Amupitan, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
The conference will be chaired by Dr Olisa Agbakoba, founding partner of Olisa Agbakoba Legal and a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association.
Experts to discuss electoral responsibilities
The panel will feature the Commissioner of Police in charge of Election Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation at Force Headquarters, Abayomi Sogunle.
Other panellists are the Head of the Department of Mass Communication at the University of Lagos, Prof Tayo Popoola; Creative Director of Gender Agenda and founder of WEWE Network Afrique, Adaora Onyechere Sydney-Jack; and Executive Director of the International Press Centre, Lanre Arogundade.
The conference is expected to examine the roles of electoral institutions, political actors, security agencies, the media, civil society organisations and citizens in strengthening public confidence in Nigeria’s electoral process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee and GOCOP Deputy President, Olumide Iyanda, expressed appreciation to the organisations supporting the event.

He said the contributions from public- and private-sector organisations would support the guild in delivering the conference as it marks the 10th edition of its annual event.
