In a condolence message, Aina described the death of the politician as shocking and a huge loss to the people of the state.

The statement reads: “We in the Femi Aina campaign organisation receive with rude shock and deep pain in our heart the sudden death of our Comrade, brother and associate, the indefatigable Hon. Wale Hassan, a political leader of note in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area and environs.

“We commiserate with the immediate family, relatives, friends and associates on the passage of this great man who has been an asset to all those who are fortunate enough to associate with him.

“As a Fellow of the reputable Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, we recount his briliance both as a professional and grassroots mobiliser of note.

“We pray to almighty Allah for the repose of his soul and for Him to grant the immediate family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
