Cameroon head coach, Rigobert Song, says there is no issue in his team over the goalkeeping number one position.
Song raised an eyebrow when he benched Manchester United goalie, Andre Onana for the Indomitable Lions 3-2 victory against Gambia.
Onana’s replacement, Fabrice Ondoa, put up a good performance against the Scorpions.
The former West Ham United defender stated that he is happy to have quality goalkeepers in the team.
“Cameroon is a country which has always had great goalkeepers, today we also have two good goalkeepers.
“We can share playing time between them.
I don’t have a problem with my goalkeepers. All my goalies are competitive. I came with 27 players, and everyone is ready to step up.
“There is no controversy between, they get along very well and then the choices are made.”
Cameroon will take on perennial rivals, Nigeria in a Round of 16 contest at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday.
