At the end of Matchday 17 of the 2021/22 season of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Rivers United top the table with 38 points recorded, 27 goals scored and eight conceded.

The Pride of Rivers have pulled the joint highest away wins – three – against Enyimba, Heartland and MFM. They share the honour with their hottest chasers Plateau United, who defeated Kano Pillars, Lobi Stars and Rangers.  There is a point difference between both front runners.
