Clubs in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) have been reminded that they should commence club licensing processes for the 2023/24 season, which has been scheduled to commence on the weekend of 26th to 27th August.
Following the submission of the season’s report by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), clubs that qualified for the CAF club competitions were invited to commence their procedures with the NFF in line with CAF Club Licensing Regulations 2022.
In advising all participating clubs to take advantage of early completion of the process, the league organisers warned that only clubs that has been licensed would be registered for the new season.
A memo by the IMC Head of Operations, Mr. Davidson Owumi informed the clubs to contact the NFF Licensing Managers, Mr. Nasiru Jibril and Queen U Otarakpo for further information on the club licensing procedure.
The NPFL transfer window is also expected to open on Saturday, 1st July and close on 1st September 2023.
Enyimba and Remo Stars qualify for represent the country in next season’s CAF Champions League, while Rivers United and Bendel Insurance will play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
