Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, has received approval from the National Universities Commission to run additional undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The Registrar of the university, Omololu Adegbenro, quoting a letter by the NUC, said the approval followed the resource verification exercise conducted by the NUC in April.
In a statement on Monday, the varsity named the approved programmes at the undergraduate level to include Human Physiology and Human Anatomy.
The Registrar added that the experts that were assembled to assess the university’s level of preparedness to commence the various programmes gave the university a clean bill.
The approved postgraduate programmes, according to Adegbenro, include Master’s and Doctors of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, and Automotive Engineering.
“Others are Master’s and Doctors of Philosophy in Mass Communication, and Tourism and Hospitality Management,” the statement added.
