Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has dismissed the allegation that he tried to cripple the economy of Lagos State when President Bola Tinubu was governor.
Last January, Tinubu had recalled how Obasanjo seized the allocations of Lagos State when he was President.
He said the seizure of the revenue triggered his intellectual capacity and those of his lieutenants to make Lagos what it is today.
During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the ex-President described Tinubu’s claim as “nonsense”.
Asked about the allegation that he attempted to cripple the economy of Lagos, Obasanjo responded: “That was absolute nonsense. If he doesn’t know, then he doesn’t know anything. Is it that one that made him to have Alpha-Beta”?
