Ogun governor appoints The Nation’s editor communication aide

Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed an Assistant Editor with The Nation newspapers, Mr. ‘Dare Odufowokan as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Public Communication. The appointment takes immediate effect.

Young and vibrant, Odufowokan comes to his new job with a lot of experience in the print, broadcast and online media.

He is also a Public Relations practitioner, renowned on-air-personality and political analyst.

Odufowokan started his journalism career as a rookie with the defunct National Concord, working under Dele Alake, Tunji Bello, Sam Omatseye, Olusegun Adeniyi, Loius Odion and Jill Okeke, among others.

He later became a Chief Correspondent at the Sun newspapers, and also worked as Political Editor at National Life newspapers and as Editor of Ondo People’s News.

Until his new appointment, Odufowokan was an Assistant Editor/Head of Political Desk on the Weekend Desk at The Nation newspaper.

He has a Higher National Diploma from the Department of Mass Communication of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, and had Post Graduate studies in Public Public and Administration at Bayero University, Kano.

Odufowokan is also a renowned for his frank political analysis on various radio and television programmes.
