The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji has called on members of the House to be united and work together as a formidable team to move the state forward.
Oladiji, who was elected as the Speaker of the 10th Assembly on 3rd June, said the development of the state was paramount to him, stressing that he would ensure that the House work harmoniously with other arms of government in the state.
During a meeting with principal officers in his office on Wednesday, the Speaker expressed optimism that with the new set of lawmakers in the tenth Assembly, the state would soon witness a transformational change.
While congratulating all the lawmakers through the principal officers on their recent inauguration as House of Assembly members, Oladiji said: “No stone would be left unturned to give priority to your welfare at all times”.
Oladiji said: “I want to urge you to always keep to the rule of the House because you are the engine room and pillars of this House saddled with various responsibilities.
“I also want to appeal to you to always remember Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in your prayers. I believe the governor would soon resume work in earnest”.
On behalf of other principal officers, the House Majority Leader, Hon. Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi thanked the speaker and assured that all hands would be on deck to achieve a common goal.
