Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu has won the Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot for the 2025/2026 cacampaign.
The Trabzonspor star shares the prize with Eldor Shomurodov after both scored 22 goals this season.
Onuachu played in 30 league matches this campaign to reach the 22-goal mark. The 31-year-old also had two assists in a standout season for the Nigerian.
Shomurodov, who plays for Istanbul Başakşehir, scored in his team’s last game of the campaign against Gaziantep FK.
Fenerbahçe’s Anderson Talisca, who scored 19 goals, followed them closely in the top scorers’ chart.
The latest accolade means Onuachu is the sixth Trabzonspor player to win the Turkish Süper Lig top scorer prize.
Last season, his compatriot, Victor Osimhen, won the award after finding the back of the net 26 times in 30 matches.
But this term, the former Napoli man scored only 15 goals in 22 league matches.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles have congratulated Onuachu on the feat.

In the meantime, Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has won the Player of the Month award for May 2026 at the Italian club Udinese.
Okoye, 26, kept two clean sheets in three matches in the month under review.
Overall, the Nigerian now has 10 clean sheets in 29 Serie A matches this season.
His impressive performance has earned him a spot in the shortlist for the Serie A Player of the Month award for May.
Both players are expected to feature for the Super Eagles in this year’s Unity Cup in the UK, billed for later this month.
This year’s edition of the Unity Cup, last won by Nigeria in 2025, will be played at Charlton Athletic’s The Valley stadium in South London.
It will run from 26 to 30 May 2026. The three-time African champions will take on Zimbabwe in a high-stakes African heavyweight clash on 26 May. On the same day, India and Jamaica will battle it out in the second semi-final tie.
If Nigeria win, they will battle it out in the final on 30 May.
