Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has named the late Argentina legend, Diego Maradona, as the best footballer of all time.
Osimhen joined Napoli, a club Maradona played for in the 1990s, in 2020 for a club record €72 million.
Last season, Osimhen scored 26 goals in 32 league games as they won their first Scudetto in 33 years.
Following his accomplishments with Napoli last season, Osimhen has been likened to the legendary Maradona.
But he told Soccernet: “I can never be anything close to Maradona.
“For me, he is the best player in the whole world, especially for what he has done for the club. When I just came, I went on a tour, and how they idolise him is unbelievable. I cannot qualify the feeling because of what he has given to the people and the City.”
