The traditional ruler of Erin-Ijesa, Oba (Dr) Isaac Adeyeba Ayeni, Okin Oloro II has felicitated with the Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke on his “well-deserved” victory at the polls, just as he tasked him to give top priority to tourism development as a major factor in lifting the state out of the woods into socioeconomic advancement.

In a signed congratulatory message to Adeleke, the Akinla of Erin-Ijesa, in Oriade Local Government Area of the state noted with delight that “with political will, the Governor-elect will be our ‘Donald Duke’ of Osun State whom God will use to bring the much-needed socioeconomic advancement by tapping into the potentialities of our God-given tourism endowments like the Erin-Ijesa Waterfalls, which previous governments have left to rot away.

“With God and your political will, Erin-Ijesa Waterfalls can be turned to an international tourism resort of prominence comparable only to Mississippi, Hollywood, Dubai, Jerusalem, Mecca, etc,” the Akinla further stated.

The monarch prayed that God Almighty would make the tenure of the Governor-elect “divinely peaceful, prosperous and beneficial to the entire citizenry of Osun State in particular, and Nigeria as a whole”.

While assuring Adeleke of all needed support, the traditional rejoiced with the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal and the entire Adeleke dynasty for their patriotic efforts at mobilising home support base for the Governor-elect, an effort which he described as patriotic and commendable.
