A video showing a physical confrontation between members of singer Kizz Daniel’s security team and an interviewer from Advee Media has sparked debate on social media.
The incident reportedly occurred backstage at the Supremacy Concert in Lagos shortly after the singer completed his performance.
In the footage, the interviewer can be seen attempting to secure a brief interview with Kizz Daniel as the singer and members of his team moved to leave the venue.
After the security personnel declined the request, the interviewer continued following the singer, prompting one of the bodyguards to push him to the ground.
The interviewer, who reportedly had his microphone damaged in the fall, got back on his feet and continued pursuing the singer and his team.
He initially shared the footage online to criticise the security team’s handling of the encounter and draw attention to the damage to his equipment.
However, in a subsequent video, the media personality apologised for his conduct during the incident, acknowledging that his persistence in trying to secure an interview had been inappropriate.
The incident has since generated discussion online, with reactions focusing on both the conduct of the interviewer and the response of the singer’s security personnel.
The episode has also renewed conversations about the boundaries between media access and artists’ personal or professional security arrangements at crowded entertainment events.
