Super Falcons midfielder, Toni Payne is expecting a difficult test against Brazil in their opening fixture at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Randy Waldrum’s side will begin their quest for a podium finish in Paris with a Group C clash against the South Americans in Bordeaux on Thursday, July 25.
Brazil ranked among the best footballing nations in the World.
Payne, who recently joined the English club, Everton rated the Super Falcons in the same level as the Brazilians but conceded they would be a tough nut to crack.
“Playing at the World Cup was an amazing experience and being able to compete on the international stage with this team again is a good opportunity and I’m excited,” the former Sevilla of Spain star told NFF TV.
“Brazil is a tough team and talented but as Nigeria, we are at their level and it’s going to be a good match.”
The Super Falcons will also face current world champions Spain and Japan in the same group.
