PDP suspends Fayose, Nnamani, others over anti-party activities

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended some chieftains of the party in Ekiti, Enugu and Imo States over allegations of anti-party activities.

A statement on Friday night by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Debo Ologunagba stated that the party members from Ekiti State, who were affected by the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) are Jennifer Emiola, Samuel Ajayi, Olayinka Olalere, Oluyinka Akerele and Oluwajomiloju John Fayose.

Others are Funso Ayeni and Oladimeji Ajijola.

Suspended from Enugu State are former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani, and Chris Ogbu from Imo State.

Ologunagba said that all the suspensions were without further delay, commencing immediately.

The party also dissolved the executive of its Ekiti State chapter.

Ologunagba said: “The NWC also approved the appointment of Sadiq Obanoyen as chairman of the state party’s caretaker committee”.
