Controversial Nigerian streamer Peller has spoken publicly for the first time following his release from police custody, where he spent four days in detention.
Peller was reportedly arrested on Friday, July 3, 2026, after an alleged confrontation with police officers. The incident followed a traffic stop involving his tinted vehicle, during which he accused officers of pointing a gun at him.
He was later arraigned before a Lagos State Magistrate Court on Tuesday on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace, and obstruction of police officers in the discharge of their duties.
The court subsequently granted him bail in the sum of ₦500,000, along with other conditions.
Following his release, Peller took to his Snapchat page to recount his experience in detention and explain why he has not returned to streaming.
According to the content creator, he neither ate nor bathed throughout the four days he spent in custody.
“I didn’t bathe or eat for four days. I can’t show my face yet because I look ugly. It has never happened to me before in my life,” he wrote.
He also described his first moments in the cell, saying the other inmates welcomed him jokingly.
“When they put me in the cell, the people wey dey there said, ‘You’re our 001 now.’ Omo, I just burst into laughter. I didn’t eat or bathe for four days. They wanted to wicked me, but God saved me,” Peller added.
