The Philosophers Association of Nigeria (PAN) will meet at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) on 27 February with Prof. Yunusa Kehinde Salami of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ile delivering the keynote address.
PAN’s 2024 International Conference/Annual General Meeting will also have the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) at Lagos State University, Prof. Oseni Taiwo Afisi presenting the lead paper.
With the theme. “Philosophy, Leadership, Development, Environmental Sustainability in Africa”, the conference will run from 26 to 28 February and will be hosted by the Head of Department of Philosophy at UNILAG, Prof. Chiedozie Okoro; while the co-host is the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the same university, Prof. Akanbi Mudashiru Ilupeju.
Chief Host is UNILAG Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folashade Ogunsola; while the Convener is Professor of Philosophy, Jim. I. Unah, who is also the PAN President.
The opening ceremony of the conference is 27 February, while the academic session is on the following day.
