Police Trust Fund trains 100 personnel in crime management

The Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) and Ibzain Integrated Services Limited have partnered and begun training of 100 police personnel in divisional crime management in Yobe State.

A seven-day capacity building workshop commenced in Damaturu, on Wednesday, where NPTF Deputy Director for Training, Welfare and Institution Development, Mr. Jamilu Ja’afaru announced that 100 policemen would be trained in crime management.

He stated that the workshop was part of NPTF efforts to train and retrain men, officers, and auxiliary personnel of the Nigeria Police Force for maximum productivity.

He said: “This training we are conducting here in Yobe on Divisional Crime Management, is holding in 31 states of the federation under the 2022 Police Training Intervention Fund”.

He added that about 10,000 police personnel across the country are beneficiaries of the intervention which started last year and has provided various training to them.

Ja’afaru said that in addition to the training of personnel, the Fund had also provided assistance to police accommodation in barracks, police stations, and the procurement of gadgets and equipment.

Ja’afaru guaranteed that all police personnel would receive NPTF training and urged participants to use the knowledge gained to improve their abilities.
