The annual District Conference (DISCON) of Rotary International District 9112 is scheduled to be held from Thursday, 14 to Sunday 17 May 2026, at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
In a statement on Monday, the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee for DISCON 2026, Rotarian Ademola Akinbola said that the conference theme is “Elevate DISCON 2026” and Rotarians from 82 clubs in parts of Lagos and Ogun States, their families and guests will be attending the conference.
The flagship event of Rotary International District 9112, Elevate DISCON 2026 is projected to host over 3,000 participants, comprising Rotarians from across Nigeria and beyond, top government functionaries, captains of industry, corporate organisations, development partners, policymakers, and other key decision-makers.
According to DISCON 2026 Chairman, Past Assistant Governor Segun Adewakun, the conference serves as a powerful platform for networking, policy dialogue, leadership development, and advancing humanitarian and socio-economic initiatives.
Rotary International District 9112 has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to community development and humanitarian service across Lagos and Ogun States, as well as through various international interventions.
Its areas of impact include education, healthcare, maternal and child welfare, disease prevention, youth empowerment, water and sanitation, peacebuilding, and economic development.
These interventions align closely with the developmental aspirations of government at all levels.
