President Bola Tinubu’s son, Ambassador Seyi Tinubu, through his non-government organisation (NGO), Noella Foundation, has donated cash worth 2 million with food items and other materials to the fire disaster victims.

There was a fire disaster in Akwanga that razed a whole building, rendering the occupants homeless.

A statement, yesterday, by Comrade Musa Ibrahim said: “He (Seyi) expressed dissatisfaction when he heard that the victims were sleeping in ramshackle made-up tents on the street amid insecurity in the area,” the statement noted.

Representatives of Noella Foundation said the foundation were in Nasarawa state at the weekend to commiserate with the family over the fire incident and also to render assistance to the people involved.

They said Seyi prayed to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

They stated that the donations were meant to assist them in reducing the pain from the unfortunate disaster.

The president’s son urged the beneficiary to make good use of the money and take precautionary measures to prevent the disaster from reoccurring.

The organisation explained that the donations were part of its mission and vision for establishing the organization to care for the needy.

Recently, the Noella Foundation made a similar donation to the family of victims of salt intake in Kaduna State that claimed three lives.

“The organisation offers programmes that expand education, improve health, create employment, and protect the lives of poor people”, he said.

The foundation hinted that more people would be receiving materials to cushion the effects of hard times in the country.

“Our organisation supports children with education, safety and also helps families to start their own business and also help many pupils in paying their fees in several schools”, it added”.

Aside from these, the foundation disclosed that medical care, equipment, and service were part of the assistance it would be rendering to Nigerians going forward.
