The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned motorists to stop bribing its personnel.
The Kwara State commander of the corps, Fredrick Ogidan, issued the warning in Ilorin, the state capital, vowing that motorists who indulge in bribing FRSC officials will be prosecuted once caught in the act.
Ogidan further revealed that in the first half of the year, 42 road traffic offenders were arrested in the state for trying to bribe road marshals.
According to him, “the offenders were booked and made to pay fines for their offences, but rather than pay their fines, they opted to bribe their way out. Let me warn you that the music has changed. Anyone caught making any attempt to bribe marshals on the road will be sent to court”.
