The Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (Southwest Nigeria) will, on Thursday, 22 May, present a book titled, Proposed Plan of Action for Economic Development of South West Nigeria, to the Governors of Southwest States of Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo.
The book is published in consultation with Development Agenda for Western Nigeria Commission,
In a statement, the Chairman of the Planning Committee of the event, Alhaji Adekunle Adegbite said that the book highlights achievements of Southwest states, and provides insights and suggestions to the governors on ways to enhance governance for prosperity of the region.
According to Adegbite, the book covers topics on Security Improvement Strategies, Health Development, Energy and Solid Minerals, Transportation and Regional Development, Public Service Development and Governance and Nation Building, among others.
The event will hold at New Hall of Oyo State Local Government Staff Training School, Secretariat, Ibadan, from 10.30 am.
