Tetra Pak, a global leader in food processing and packaging solutions, has unveiled its relocated Lagos office, marking a significant milestone in its mission to drive sustainable growth across West Africa.
The redesigned workspace aligns with the company’s global ‘Activity-Based Working’ strategy, emphasising operational agility, employee well-being, and environmental stewardship.
The relocation underscores Tetra Pak’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint while fostering innovation. The office integrates energy-saving motion sensors, 85% recycled furnishings—including items crafted from recycled beverage cartons—and paperless workflows, achieving a 30% reduction in environmental impact compared to the previous location.
Advanced teleconferencing tools further minimise travel needs, supporting Tetra Pak’s ambition to achieve net-zero emissions across operations by 2030.
Managing Director of Tetra Pak West Africa, Mr. Haithem Debbiche said: ‘This office is more than a workplace; it’s a testament to our promise to protect the planet while enabling growth.
‘By embedding sustainability into every design choice, we’re creating a blueprint for responsible business practices in the region’.
The open-plan office, inaugurated by Tetra Pak’s Executive Vice President of Services, Roberto Franchitti replaces traditional cubicles with dynamic zones that spark cross-functional collaboration. Proximity between R&D, commercial, and operations teams accelerates decision-making, while cutting-edge connectivity tools enhance client engagement.
Recently, the facility hosted a strategic session with a key customer, leveraging its seamless digital ecosystem to drive actionable outcomes.
Debbiche noted; ‘Our clients benefit directly from this transformation. A modern workspace equips our teams to deliver faster, more innovative solutions—critical in a market as dynamic as Nigeria’.
With the new office as a catalyst, Tetra Pak aims for double-digit growth in West Africa by 2026. Priorities include strengthening customer partnerships, expanding recycling infrastructure, and empowering teams through continuous learning.
Debbiche further said: ‘We’re here to enable local producers to meet rising demand safely and sustainably. Our vision is a thriving ecosystem where industry growth and planetary health go hand in hand’.
