FG, NLC reach consensus on N70,000 new minimum wage

President Bola Tinubu has approved N70,000 as the new minimum wage.

He promised to review the national minimum wage law every three years.

This is coming after the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) met with the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday.

In a statement on X, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr.Bayo Onanuga confirmed the development.

“President Bola Tinubu has approved N70,000 minimum wage for Nigerian workers with promise to review the national minimum wage law every three years”.
