At exactly 10:39 am, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu completed the Oath of Office and assumed responsibility as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He replaces Muhammadu Buhari, who, like Tinubu, was elected into office in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Tinubu is the fifth President in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic after Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Musa Yar-Adua, Goodluck Jonathan and Buhari.

Senator Kashim Shettima had earlier concluded his oath taking as Vice President to succeeded Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
