Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta has disclosed the chances of Granit Xhaka and William Saliba missing the epic English Premier League match against Manchester City on Wednesday.
The Gunners top the table but their hope of lifting the EPL title for the first time since 2004 have been dented by three straight draws at the time defending champions and second placed Manchester City continue to amass points. Arsenal have five points advantage over City but have played two matches more.
During his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Arteta said that while Xhaka was unavailable for last Friday’s 3-3 draw with Southampton due to illness, Saliba will not be available for games against City and Chelsea.
“There’s not been a real improvement unfortunately on him so we’re still waiting.
“At the moment we don’t have him and we’re preparing for this game without him. Probably the next game [Chelsea] will come too soon as well”, Arteta said.
“Hopefully he will be able to train today. He’s still a doubt”, the Arsenal coach said on Xhaka.
