Zack Orji collapses in toilet, minister rallies hospital to save actor’s life

Anxious fans and celebrities have been praying for one of Nollywood’s finest actors, Zack Orji, following a viral video, yesterday of the veteran actor in a critical condition in a hospital.

The bearded actor is said to be in critical condition after he slumped in the toilet weeks back.
He is being attended to at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), of the National Hospital in Abuja.

According to reports, Orji can’t walk or talk, and all kinds of tests are being carried out on him to ascertain the cause of his illness

Orji is an actor, director, and producer. He is known for his roles in movies such as Glamour Girls, Blood Money, among others.

Confirming the sad news, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe wrote on his Facebook page: “Please pray for Jack, while actress Step Nora Okereke wrote: “Please let us hold him in our prayers. May the good Lord grant him speedy recovery in Jesus name”.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, at the weekend, urged doctors at the National Hospital in Abuja to save the life of the popular Nollywood actor, Zach Orji.

It was learnt that the minister rallied the hospital workers to give their best medical attention to the ace actor.

The hospital’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Tayo Hastrup said Kennedy-Ohanenye provided the advance notice to the workers even before the actor got to the hospital.

Hastrup said: “Two days ago, the minister called me to say that we should be prepared to receive Zach Orji. The minister even paid the deposit while pleading that we should be ready to receive him.

“He was brought in around 10 p.m., but by then we had made all the arrangements, though I wasn’t around.

“We got everything and everyone ready. When he was brought in, we received and admitted him.

“As we speak, I’m not certain about his condition. I can’t really say anything about that since I’m not around. But we are taking very good care of him. That I’m certain about”.
