A member of the United States House of Representatives, Rep. Riley Moore, has said the United States will closely monitor Nigeria’s 2027 general election and the conduct of the electoral process.
Moore made the remark during an interview with Noire TV on Saturday while responding to questions about Nigeria’s forthcoming general election and the role the United States could play in supporting the country’s democratic process.
According to the congressman, the United States will pay close attention to both the outcome of the elections and the manner in which they are conducted.
“We will be paying close attention to Nigeria’s 2027 election,” Moore said.
He added, “We are certainly going to be watching these results and how these elections will unfold and how they are executed. That is something that myself and my administration will pay very close attention to.”
