The Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (ALARHOSPS) has called on all Nigerians, irrespective of status, religion and ethnicity to join forces towards the country’s ethical rebirth.

In a statement in which he announced 12 –13 August 2025 as 12th annual summit of the association, its President, Otunba Nurudeen Ojora-Adejiyan said that, with the recent happenings in the country, there is no gainsaying the fact that there is a need for a rebirth towards the promotion and practicality of the highest ethical and moral standards in individual and collective lives; rendering services that are neither selfish nor self-centred, devoid of self-interest towards one another.

He said: ‘We should accept our individual and collective guilt in terms of the present moral degradation and permissiveness, by working jointly in creating the necessary positive change to improve our well-being’.

Ojora-Adejiyan appreciated the state government for the strategic creation of the Lagos State Food Infrastructure Company, aimed at enhancing food security and agricultural productivity in the State.

The theme of last year’s ALARHOSPS summit was “Agenda For Sustainable Development and Food Security”, which contributed in no small measure to the debate and discussions on food security across the country last year.

The concept of the ALARHOSPS summit is to serve as a veritable platform to discuss topical issues on good governance and improved service delivery through which relevant and useful contributions are made towards state and national development.
