The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will begin on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The three-week orientation programme will run simultaneously nationwide until Tuesday, 25 August, 2026, according to a statement released on Monday by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu.
The scheme confirmed that prospective corps members can now access their Call-up Numbers through their online dashboards, while Call-up Letters will be released in due course.
“Accordingly, Call-up Numbers have been uploaded to the dashboards of prospective Corps Members, while Call-up Letters will be made available in due course,” the statement said.
The NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated all prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II service year, describing their successful completion of studies in higher institutions in Nigeria and abroad as a milestone that qualifies them for national service.
The NYSC chief also urged the prospective corps members to prioritise safety as they travel to their assigned orientation camps.
“He wishes them a safe journey to their respective Orientation Camps and strongly advises them to avoid travelling at night. The Director General also urges them to strictly adhere to all travel and safety guidelines throughout their journey to the camps,” the statement added.
The announcement follows the successful completion of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I orientation exercise, which took place nationwide from 10 June to 30 June.
However, the exercise was postponed in Niger State after damage to the state’s orientation camp. The affected corps members were later accommodated at the NYSC orientation camp in Kubwa, Abuja, where the programme was held from 7 July to 27 July.
