Nigerian streamer and entertainer Carter Efe has claimed that his hit song ‘Machala’ contributed to Wizkid’s career while challenging the Afrobeats star to a boxing match.
Carter Efe made the remarks during an interview with Yanga FM, where he said he would be willing to fight Wizkid without demanding any payment.
He suggested that Wizkid could receive $1 million to participate in the proposed bout, while insisting that he would not take a penny.
“Make them no even pay any money, I swear to God, make them pay Wizkid $1 million, make them con say Oya go and follow Carter Efe, make them no give me single kobo,” he said.
Carter Efe also referred to Wizkid’s alleged marijuana use as one of the reasons he believed he could defeat the singer in a fight.
The streamer further claimed that he and Wizkid “share glory” because of ‘Machala’, a song he said reached number one and generated significant earnings for him.
“Me and Wizkid share glory, I drop Machala, the song enter number one, even though say na me make money why he no fit acknowledge me?” he said.
According to Carter Efe, Wizkid’s alleged failure to recognise his contribution to the song prompted him to stop acknowledging the singer as well.
“As he no acknowledge me, me sef no acknowledge am again,” he added.
Carter Efe subsequently challenged Wizkid to meet him in the ring for a boxing contest.
“Make them carry Wizkid come chaos in the ring make we fight,” he said.
