Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid has reignited the long-running rivalry with fellow artiste Burna Boy after suggesting that he was selected to close the Afro Nation festival in Portugal because he is “the best”.
The latest exchange follows claims by Burna Boy’s supporters on social media that the singer’s opening-day headline performance reflected his greater star power compared with Wizkid and other artistes featured at the festival.
Wizkid appeared to respond to those claims during his performance on Sunday, telling the audience that he was scheduled to perform after Burna Boy and the other acts because he is “the best”.
