The Chief Imam of the Uso Community in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Alhaji Ibrahim Oyinlade, who was abducted along the Owo-Akure Expressway on Saturday, has regained his freedom.
The cleric was said to have been released by his abductors on Sunday evening.
The cleric was said to be working on his farm when the hoodlums invaded the premises and whisked him away.
The abductors subsequently demanded N10 million ransom to release the cleric.
“Though the abductors contacted the family in the morning today (Sunday) and demanded N10 million, but to God be the glory, he was set free this evening,” a source in the family said.
He, however, did not state whether the ransom was paid before the cleric was released.
