Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman will wear the No. 11 shirt for Atletico Madrid during the 2026/27 season.
The Nigeria international joined the LaLiga side from Serie A club Atalanta in January and wore the No. 22 jersey during the second half of the 2025/26 campaign.
Lookman has now been handed the No. 11 shirt previously worn by Argentina midfielder Thiago Almada, who recently completed a transfer to River Plate.
The 28-year-old is no stranger to the number, having also worn No. 11 during his time at Atalanta.
Lookman made an impressive start to life at Atletico Madrid, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 24 appearances across all competitions during his first six months at the club.
His performances have now earned him the upgraded shirt number as he prepares for his first full season with the Spanish giants.
The change is expected to further underline Lookman’s growing importance to Atletico Madrid as the club prepares for the new campaign.
