Former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has congratulated the management, editorial board and anniversary planning committee of Penpushing Media on its eighth anniversary lecture.
In a congratulatory message, Amosun commended the organisation for its commitment to promoting excellence in journalism and fostering informed public discourse through its annual lecture series.
The former governor, who chaired the sixth edition of the lecture, said the programme had continued to enrich public discourse both within and outside Nigeria.
“Let me commend the management, editorial board, planning committee and staff of Penpushing Media for their commitment to promoting excellence in journalism and enriching public discourse through this annual lecture series,” he said.
Amosun is expected to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the eighth annual lecture, scheduled for 23 July 2026.
He described the theme of this year’s lecture, “Restoring Electoral Integrity: The Path to Good Governance and Public Accountability,” as timely, particularly as Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections.
“The theme of this year’s lecture, together with the choice of the keynote speaker, is both timely and apt, particularly as Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections,” he said.
The keynote address will be delivered by human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana.
Amosun wished the organisers a successful event and expressed appreciation for the invitation to participate.
