All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the primary elections for Federal House of Representatives, Epe, Lagos State Dr. Bakare Isiaka Adeyinka has written a petition and faulted the process of the election, which he described as fraudulent.

Adeyinka in the petition written by his counsel Yemi Omodele was submitted to the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election appeal committee arguing that there were irregularities and manipulation of results.

The lawyer in the petition dated 18 May 2026, titled, ‘A Letter of Protest and Request for Justice’, emphasized that his client was thrown into dark about the election and the results announced, and therefore, prayed the appeal committee to order fresh and transparent primary election in the constituency so that the interest of justice will be better served.

‘This petition is written on the instructions of my client, Dr. Bakare Isiaka Adeyinka. My client is a bona fide member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) where he obtained a nomination form to contest for Federal House of Representatives, Epe Federal Constituency’, the petition read

‘The primary election was conducted on 16/05/2026 but the way and manner in which the election was conducted was rather not fair and unjust. My client was thrown into dark about the election and the results announced’, it added

‘The ground of this petition are stated thus: There were manipulations in the election, figures were unduly changed, loyalists to my client were chased away and disallowed from voting when the time for election and announcement of results reached’, the lawyer wrote.

The petitioner pointed out that registered All Progressives Congress (APC) party members in Epe Federal Constituency were not allowed to vote, and they were intimidated and harassed.

‘The law enforcement agents are not left out as they were the ones who assisted Hon. Wale Raji to achieve his aims. The members of the electoral committee were loyalists of Hon. Wale Raji which they displayed during the election. The results announced is different from the number of persons that voted’, the petitioner stated.

‘Sir, during the hearing of this petition my client shall tendered video/documentary evidence to support his petition. To this end, my client hereby call on you sir, to look into his petition with a view to make the following orders: nullification of the APC primary election of Epe Federal Constituency conducted on 16/05/2026, and set aside the declaration of Hon. Wale Raji. Order fresh, and transparent primary election in the constituency so that the interest of justice will be better served.
