Shooting Stars Sports Club winger Ismail Ayodele has apologised to the club’s management, coaching staff, teammates and supporters following his unauthorised absence from the team’s pre-season camp.
Ayodele, who was previously reported missing after failing to report for pre-season activities without official permission, returned to the club on Monday and has resumed training with the Ibadan-based side.
In a statement shared on his social media account, the winger expressed regret over his actions, admitting he had made a mistake and apologising to everyone affected by his absence.
His return comes as Shooting Stars continue preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The club is expected to turn its focus fully to the new campaign, with Ayodele hoping to rebuild trust and put the incident behind him.
