American rapper Cardi B has addressed growing speculation surrounding her relationship with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, following a series of public appearances that have fuelled dating rumours.
The Grammy-winning artiste recently sparked further speculation after she was spotted having dinner with Okoye and a group of friends at Gio’s Restaurant inside the St. Regis Hotel in Venice.
Reacting to the increased public attention surrounding her personal life, Cardi B expressed frustration over what she described as the constant scrutiny she faces.
In a video circulating online, the rapper suggested that ordinary aspects of her life often attract disproportionate media and public attention, unlike similar situations involving other celebrities.
“No cap, I’m really hip hop’s Britney Spears. I got all the tea on these celebrities. I know who’s with who and what’s doing what. But guess what? Nobody reports about it because nobody cares.
“But when it comes to me, I can’t even do anything without people talking about it. This is crazy. You’ve got to take the good with the bad. It is what it is. People pay for this type of talk,” she said.
The comments come amid heightened speculation about the nature of Cardi B and Okoye’s relationship, with the pair reportedly spotted together on several occasions, including during Paris Fashion Week and their recent outing in Venice.
Despite the growing buzz on social media, neither Cardi B nor Okoye has publicly confirmed that they are romantically involved.
