Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 to keep pace with Arsenal in the English Premier League title race.
The champions came into the game knowing that Arsenal had won 3-2 at Tottenham Hotspur.
However, they struggled to break down their hosts, who are fighting relegation.
Josko Gvardiol headed in a Kevin De Bruyne corner to give City the lead in the first half.
Although Forest tried to get back on level terms, it was substitute Erling Haaland who ran through and put the game out of reach.
Arsenal remain top with 80 points, one point ahead of Pep Guardiola’s men, who still have a game in hand.
